Do you need a GS1 barcode?
Whether you need registered barcode numbers or can use your own, and how to get them.
What barxui can do
The full specification — barcode types, media sizes, data sources, platform and installation details.
How-to guides
Working in the designer
Create a new label
Start from a template or a blank canvas, add your elements, and save it ready to link to your data.
Add text, picture or barcode
Static or data-linked, plus which barcode formats are supported and when you need a GS1 number.
Date and time formats
Add static and dynamic dates to a label, define multiple formats, and use date values from your data — useful for best-before and use-by printing.
Delete a label
How removing a design works, and what to check first if others share your account.
Setting up the print agent
Why you need it for direct-to-printer jobs, and how to get it running on Windows.
The Xero add-on
Connect your Xero organisation so barxui can pull through your item data for labels.
Quick answers
Common questions
Do I need to install anything?
Not to design labels or print to PDF — that all happens in the browser. To print direct to your own printer you install the small barxui print agent, which runs on Windows.
Which browsers work?
Any modern browser, on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iOS — desktop, tablet or phone.
How do I get my product data in?
Import an Excel or CSV file in the Data Manager, or use the barxui Agent to sync automatically from files or Microsoft SQL Server.
Can I share labels with someone else?
Yes. Invite them by email address and choose what they are allowed to see and do — view, modify or print.
Are my labels backed up?
Designs and data are stored in the cloud on AWS. There is nothing on your machine to back up.
Something about billing or my plan
Trial length, plans, expansion packs and cancellation are all covered on the pricing page.
